If customers are using WebEx T28.8 and below, the entire string will always be presumed to be for only the Windows client, even if OS indicator (such as mac@) are used. (WebEx clients T28.8 and below only support TSP Hybrid Audio on Windows).
This is a Cisco Spark (now called WebEx) chat client for use in console. Written in GO that works in MacOS and Linux.
This client uses about 15MB RAM compared to the official client that uses 500MB - 1000MB RAM.However, this client currently only support chats (not file-share, video-chat etc).

Use
If you don't want to build form source. Just download 'MacOS/spinc' (Mac) or 'Linux/spinc' (Linux).
- Configure 'auth_token' in spinc.conf. This token is retrieved by logging in and get authorization token here: https://developer.webex.com/getting-started.html#authentication
- ./spinc http://<your_external_ip>
- Write /help in Spinc to view available commands and keyboard shortcuts.
If you don't have an external IP. Use a tunnel. If you decide to use ngrok there is a start script provided (spinc.sh). Spinc register webhooks to receive updateshence it needs to open up an external port. In case you are behind a firewall you can use any type of tunnel service (or host your own).

It's not officially supported yet, they have been talking about 'coming soon' for quite a while - from the support thread 'he Mac client has been pushed back a little and is tracking to end of the first quarter of the 2011 calendar year' https://www.myciscocommunity.com/thread/1847
there are some configs that you could possibly use a jabber gateway to access webex connect, so in theory Adium or iChat would work. I have not been able to verify this due to my employer using an SSO gateway between the client and the server.
Cisco now has web chat for webex connect - im.ciscowebex.com and is usable in most browsers including Safari.
If your employer uses SSO (single sign on) then you may have to go through their web gateway and authentication process.
